Forward to the First Edition of TIBETS

2004 TIBETS peer review journal (Transactions of 2003 SFB) The first edition of TIBETS is a strong testimony that this online journal will play a significant role in disseminating original and innovative research in integrative medicine and thereby advancing the field.

The topics covered in the first edition range from rational studies of bioactive plant compounds as potential drugs for the treatment of cancer and emerging technologies in gene/protein profiling and pathway analysis to highly integrated high throughput studies for cancer associated gene and protein discovery.

TIBETS brings together articles from bench scientists as well as from scientists developing new computational and biotechnology tools for cancer research and therapy. These articles reflect what is new in the field and point to potential directions of high yield in cancer research. Congratulations to the TIBETS Management Team and Editorial Board for coming out so strong in its very first edition.
